Patrick Rogers

FOUNDER / PRESIDENT

Patrick Rogers was born in 1969 in the small town of Prichard, Alabama. At the age of 19, he was
diagnosed with Glomerulonephritis, a severe kidney disease that would change his life forever. As he
pursued his dreams of higher education, he noticed his body starting to swell inexplicably, and he
sought medical help. Sadly, he was devastated to learn that he needed dialysis to survive.

Despite this setback, Patrick refused to let his condition define him. He faced the challenges head-on
with incredible strength and resilience. However, life had other plans for Patrick. He experienced not
just one, but four heart attacks, each one pushing him to the brink of death. Miraculously, Patrick
defied the odds and survived, even enduring a heart-stopping moment when he was clinically dead
for a staggering 17 minutes.

The turning point in Patrick’s journey came when he received the long-awaited news that a kidney
transplant was his only hope for a chance for a brighter future. He embarked on the transplant
journey with hope, but a new challenge arose when the hospital informed him of the substantial
cost of the anti-rejection medication, he would need post-transplant. Patrick found himself at a
crossroads, unsure of how to proceed.

Fortunately, the hospital informed Patrick of their foundation, a charitable organization that
provided financial support to patients in need. With renewed hope, Patrick received the funds
necessary for his transplant, and his dreams of a healthier future seemed within reach.

Sadly, Patrick’s body rejected the new organ, and he was back on dialysis. He faced the harsh reality
that not only did he need a kidney transplant, but he also required a new heart to survive. Despite
this burden, Patrick never lost hope.

In 2022, Patrick shared his vision for making a difference in the lives of those in need and working
to form GOALIFE, a non-profit organization dedicated to giving hope and support to individuals
facing similar medical challenges, including mental health.

Patrick and his dedicated team poured their heart and soul into building the GOALIFE brand and
leading its non-profit initiatives. Their shared commitment to helping others inspired many, as the
organization rapidly gained recognition and support from the community.

Despite facing numerous setbacks and disappointments, Patrick remained a pillar of strength as he
served as Chair on the board of GOALIFE, lending his wisdom and experience to guide the
organization forward. His unwavering belief in the power of unity and compassion fueled his
determination to find the medical solution he so desperately needed.

As the story continues, Patrick’s journey is far from over. He still awaits his chance for a second
chance at life, a chance to receive the kidney and heart transplant that will give him the opportunity
to witness his son grow and flourish. Each day, he wakes up with hope in his heart and a smile on his
face, knowing that he is making a difference through GOALIFE.

Through Patrick’s noble mission, his story serves as an inspiration to us all, encouraging us to
embrace the power of community and to never lose sight of the hope that lies within each and every
one of us.
